I really liked your comment!
The choice is certainly important. The point here is - are we aware that we are making the choice? We could draw our lines differently and have very different experiences. Do we know that we free to change our lines?On a meat slaughterer being a vegetarian, there is an unclear thinker on ethics. Why put oneself in a position that violates one's ethical code? Of course, a higher level question is why do I feel this way, and do I realize I'm the one placing these judgments? If so, do I want to continue placing those judgments? The emphasis here is not on the specific judgment we make, but that we make the judgment from a space of truth - that we are free to judge, and not helpless, and we have chosen, for whatever reason, a particular path.That awareness of freedom is what allows us to call what we do "our choice." From this perspective, there is no contradiction anymore - desiring to be better is an immortal quest for mankind, and without love as a means, that quest is going to remain mired in mediocrity.Free will is one of those oxymorons :). The moment you have willed, you are bound, and are no longer free.
Would love to hear further thoughts.

I didn't even know how badly I was in a constant state of negative emotions - the 'poor me syndrome', until I heard a lady, with far more worse problems than I on a TV program one day say;

Since then I have been a different person, I think always how lucky I am to be able to walk, to see, to hear, to just have my freedom, not be living in a war zone and so many other things each day I am thankful for now-
When ever I think something negative - I counteract it with something very positive and I feel great!
