I love this. Kudos to you, Chuck! The initial example, of your willingness to possibly write that check for $35,000 to make a tangible difference in the lives of that entire, connected community is an example of what I have recently termed "fairy godfunding." Clearly, we need huge structural changes to wealth inequality in the United States. However, in the meantime, I think fairy godfunding could be a meaningful, pragmatic action that certain wealthy people could take, to make tangible differences to individuals and, by extension, the greater good.
