Until we alter this greed mindset of profits over health, we remain stuck in the disease. It seems we need to connect the profits piece so more people understand that in many countries and cultures where this is not at play, better health is achievable and already lived. I'm thinking of Scandinavia, Europe in particular where organic food is nearly the same cost. Also honoring available resources & a mindset that health is a right in these countries, whereas in the US it's not. This plays out in many ways from organic ; healthier foods often being at a much higher price point than pre-packaged processed foods. Add to this, we are the only high income country without national Healthcare. And where rather than focus on the root of the diseases, like you are speaking to in your article, US systems seem to focus on medicating, the pharmaceutical industry has one of the most powerful lobbies in DC. As you've written, it's all interconnected. We've a long way to go....
