Sending extra heart love to anyone who needs it this Valentine's Day.
Vulnerability, before 2009 Valentine's Day was my least favorite holiday.
That might sound strange to those who know me now.But it's true.
Valentine's Day used to feel like a painful reminder of being:
with myself when I wished to be coupled,
Or allowing myself to choose & become stuck in unhealthy relationships...
including my marriage.
Caught up in what society & culture said love "should" look like.
And then a journey of discovery...
2005, I left that unhealthy marriage. We're still friends.
I began traveling & exploring love across borders, cultures, & ages.
I realized love could look very different from what I'd been taught.
Love could look expansive.
In 2008 Free Hugs found me & forever changed me. 💞
Love could look like opening one's heart to Everyone. 💜
Sharing one's heart with Everyone! 🤲
Free Hugs, the power of those 2 words. 🙏
A gateway to connection & conversation.
I was hooked on hugs.😅
For a decade I carried a Free Hugs sign Everywhere I went & used it.
Many of you met me through that sign. 😁
Do you have any idea how grateful I am that you opened your heart & arms & shared that experience with me? 🙌💜
And that so many of us remain connected? 💞
There are so many life lessons through 2 seemingly simple words on a piece of cardboard:
Courage to be vulnerable.
How your heart can expand, if you allow it.
How deep connection can happen if you look beyond the surface at the person in front of you.
In the giving there is such depth of receiving.
My own heart has expanded with even more love to share.
Free Hugs in some ways was the gateway into consciously connecting & authentic relating & tantra.
More expansion of what love can look like.
Ooh such liberation.
To feel free to say I Love You not just to one person, to many! To fully feel it!To truly mean it.
We're hard-wired & seek to love & be loved.
My lil heart and your heart tooare beautiful broken, repaired fractal fragments of all the love shared.
This Valentine's Day I'm sharing Kintsugi with a couple.Symbolizing it takes two to break open & repair & be strong vessels. 🤲🙏💞.
And I'm grateful that love & relationship in my own life feels so expansive.
So, this is my lil heart shooting out through my lil hands sharing love with youAnd youAnd youAnd you....💜
