I appreciate this post for so many reasons but won't forward it on because it includes the this language, "no matter how impaired or untrustworthy the voting process may seem." The US voting process is neither impaired or untrustworthy. To say it may seem as such perpetuates misconceptions that are fueled by those who want to incite distrust and fear. We may not all agree that the type of voting system we have is the best, but it is functioning as designed; it is neither impaired or untrustworthy.
