Thank you so much Arlie for speaking about empathy across the divide. It is so important to see to understand rather than judge or shut out. I've beeb building empathy bridges for nearly 2 decades.
It began in the small town rural library where I served as Children's Librarian seeking to understand the conservative mindset & to expand the children'sview to a bigger world. We learned so much from each other & I gained friends of such differing views.
Fast forward to several cross country tours (2016 to 2019) sharing recovery from trauma workshops and listening to people's life stories.
Many are now my friends. I learned so much from their viewpoints.
