Thank you for this balm for the heart, soul and spirit. Mr Rogers was the calm in my often challenging childhood, a childhood of trauma and sadness, he was the voice of unconditional love and acceptance. We need Mr Rogers these days to remind us of our innate goodness and to remind us to love others and seek to listen and learn rather than close off and judge. When I read the special olympics 100 yard dash story (which I have read many times) I began to sob because today we need to remember to turn around and gentle take the hand of the one who has fallen, lift them, link arms and run together. Perhaps like me, you too ask yourself, "what would Mr Rogers say or do in this moment?" He keeps me focused on love. Love from my heart to yours.
