Thank you. Jolanda's journey resonates and makes perfect sense to my heart, mind, soul & spirit. I, too, was led to sell my small home & possessions & give away what was left so I could learn, create/facilitate a literacy project in Belize utilizing & honoring local culture. That evolved into projects in Kenya, Ghana honoring locally created projects and people with the intent to break the pity/poverty mindset & cycle.
All of this work led to my current life work: recovery from trauma for survivors of abuse, addiction, childhood trauma, domestic violence, homelessness, trafficking & war.
I'm forever grateful the universe opened the door in 2005.
Jolanda's story of the "no strings" philanthropist" & hotel model idea inspires me to keep going.
