Yes, we are seeing the goodness in each other. Neighbors helping neighbors. I don’t see it as something new. Before the virus some people were so focused on the things they don’t like in the world that they couldn’t see all of the great kindnesses going on everyday. I don’t think the goodness increased so much. It’s always there. Maybe we slowed down enough to notice it.
There is no need to institutionalize kindness. Let it flow in its natural, beautiful way. Let the creativity of its deliverance be hand-picked. Individual to individual. That’s how it has always worked best.
