To clarify 1 factual error: flattening the curve to allow hospitals not to get overwhelmed & endanger lives does “shorten “ the height of the arc of how many will have the the virus at one time, but it does not shorten the length of time the virus circulates - it actually extends it and results therefore in hospitals having enough ventilators to treat the very sickest among us.
