Hi Jody, I too left a dear friend behind in Burnie, Tasmania, two years ago when we moved here. I only had her in my life for three years. We still keep in touch by phone but as you would know that is not anywhere near enough. Seems that is how it will be for me. I do lots of voluntary work here in Laidley, and have met great people so that is nice too. I will look Michigan up on the Internet, and work out where you are. Think it is cold there? Here in Australia currently we are burning, and drought is very serious all over. Today I saw dreadful scenes of thousands of people running into the water at the beach to stay alive. So what will be left after this all finishes I am not sure. My brother in law in Guyra, lost his farm when some clumsy person was welding 30km away, and started a grass fire. Thank you for the very warm reply and it is amazing and wonderful to know I am not alone. xxx Trisha
