My “art” is storytelling and writing short stories. Both leave room for and invite participation and imagination. I doubt I will ever write a novel. I have enjoyed some, but I feel author of books fill in far too many spaces which would be better left empty for our imaginations? I prefer the short story if I write at all, tending more to tell than to write. The glory of story is to cast vision and leave much to the hearer’s own acquisition and coloring. And film? Forget it for the most part, it’s for lazy minds, mere entertainment but no exercise. };-) a.m.
