At first I was confused- how does one feel compassion for myself and then think, “it could be worse!” Or did I have the order mixed up? And then I realized that we can do both. Perhaps we can feel compassion for ourself and then realize that it could be worse. I am reminded of my wise friend Evi and her thoughts. “We can hold sorrow in one hand and joy in the other.” So we can always choose to do both and then carry on... Thank you for this message this morning - I needed it! Warmly, Ginny
