If we search our hearts and are truthful, we will know our deepest longing is for Divine LOVE, the Lover of our soul. Though we can’t name it, it is the truth of all humanity. It is expressed in mankind’s good law, prophets, religion and philosophy, but never fully, never ultimate reality. To be idealistic in a worldly sense is actually to be connected to LOVE and our true selves in the Lover of our souls. But then I am simply an anonemoose monk who speaks from what I do not know (mind) but have experienced (heart).
