One of the best strategies I have found for the long haul is to adopt a mutuality mindset thus spurring me to seek a sweet spot of shared interest with anyone I encounter, thus spurring our conversation into a mutually beneficial path. I've learned that healthy relationships are not based on a quid pro quo yet do have an ebb and flow of mutual support over time. Thus we continuously get to know each other better and can offer ever more apt support for each other over time. That not only makes us smarter for each other but also more mutually satisfying.
