We are frustrated with the current underappreciation of our planet. I feel like the answer lies in helping people to spend more time in nature, helping them to relax into it, appreciate it with awe and wonder. Once people feel something from this experience they will be motivated to share it with another. I think this is the only real approach, to change the hearts first. Laws and resistance, anger and fighting against are not ways to reach the hearts. It will require that we be patient about the time requirements for heart changing. Our problem didn’t happen overnight and we may not see things turned around in our generation but we must be able to see past our own generation. So love those that don’t currently appreciate nature as much as you do and invite them to go along with you the next time you go for a walk in the woods. Invest yourself in them and share your experiences with joy.
