A thought after reading. "Spiritual" is not a trend, it is not trendy, it always has been part of the human experience/condition and always will be. Another thought . . . and you must be consciously aware of it working and alive in relationship to you, in order to know of it. It helps to have a reflection, a friend or church/community of like minded people to share experiences, this helps you maintain conscious contact with your spiritual self. The saying, "No man/woman is an island comes to mind." Although, certainly, being one with nature can put you in mind of your spiritual self, if alone on an island or alone wherever you may be, even I supose alone with your own thoughts. Another thought . . . kindness is important to me, therefore this is a part of my spiritual essence. Also, the story of Jesus is an example of the spiritual journey of a human being and his relationship with God "the father". It seems we tend to complicate the subject of spirituality when it isn't complicated at all. If it is illusive, it need not be, all that's necessary is to pay attention, be consciously aware of God working in your life. It helped me tremendously to move away from the idea of God as a "guy in the sky" and to see God just as God, neither male nor female, not ever referring to God as he or she. This is my understanding at this moment in time. Thank you.😊
