It does run in families. Yoga, breathing in a paper bag, mediation all keep it from being too debilitating. As one survives more of the things they feared, the easier it gets. It's unfortunate one has to wait for the proof that what didn't kill them makes them stronger. :-) It also helps to have a wicked sense of humor. My motto is, if you can laugh at it, you can live with it. People develop different coping skills to manage it. What ever works for you is the best. It also helps to know one is not alone.
