I love what Clair Brown and others are promoting here, and I find it interesting (amusing) that a woman named Nazarene was part of Brown's initial "Aha".
Okay, okay, I get it! Christianity has a very "checkered" history indeed, as do most of the religions of man. But to "throw out the baby with the dirty bath water" is to miss the beautiful truths of the one called Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ of God.
Jesus' "The Sermon on the Mount", Matthew chapters 5-7 in the Christian Bible has been called by many (including Gandhi) the greatest teaching ever on Peace and justice, (some say the greatest teaching "period").
But again, I do get it, religions all fall short of Truth. Buddhism is not in its true nature a religion but a way of life, of living in harmony with all things. This way is also the Way of Jesus, as opposed to the religion of Christianity. What we see with humans is the tendency toward greed, power and oppression (Trump is a good [bad?] example of that nature).
As a Lakota, Celtic, Buddhist, Franciscan Jesus follower I get it. };-) ❤️ anonemoose monk
