Story, the sharing and especially empathic listening are deep keys to knowledge and healing. But the heart must be in a state of vulnerability, humility, authenticity and love. And the mind must apply at least a moderate level of intellect as well. That state is counterintuitive to the ways of the world, hence the difficulty of achieving it. In fact, it is not achieved, but comes in holy contradiction through surrender.
