Even on my worst days, the days I can't honestly be grateful to be alive, I can be grateful that, since I AM alive, my eyes see, my ears hear, my tongue tastes, my fingers feel, and I can smell. There are people in the world who don't have this luxury. I'm grateful my dog is by my side. I'm grateful knowing that, if I go out into the world with a smile, others will smile back and that will warm me. I'm grateful to have another day to BE to connect, to open my heart, to make someone else feel just a little bit better ("Good morning! That color looks wonderful on you!")
