I totally believe in the power of impulses that deeply call to us. While I myself generally bring some level of discernment to how I respond to those, I can't think of any instance when I've felt into such a calling and followed it that I've NOT seen something or met someone or had an insight that's turned out to be transformative. Responding mindfully to such impulses cultivates that pathway in our subconscious, thereby making it easier for those signals to come through in the future; ignoring them, on the other hand, shuts down the pathway and cuts us off from that guidance. I think of it as guidance from my own higher self calling me into alignment with my higher purpose. As Wu De suggests, it really is about mindfulness and openness -- allowing space for something new to manifest.
