This fits very well with the teaching of Taoism that sometimes what seems "good" is often "bad" and vice versa. Nothing is really "good" or "bad" but, as Shakespeare said, "thinking makes it so." Perhaps when we appreciate even the "bad" experiences of life, we realize that these experiences are the ones that make us stronger, more loving, and wiser.
