What a great approach to those times when tension is high and patience and understanding possibly low. It's better than mirroring because you are trying to get into the mind, not just feedback a physical stance. It's truly "putting yourself in the other person's shoes" and seeking common ground in order to come to a mutually satisfying conclusion or result.
