Yes! yes, here's to the beauty all around us including the subtle beauty we often do not take the time to really see. When I go into the office for work in DC I often walk home, 3.5 miles. I do not listen to music or look at my phone, rather I look at the architecture around me: I notice so many small details: leaded glass in wide windows, a certain arch of a rooftop, a gargoyle. I also notice all the flora: tiny red berries tucked in branches of a bush, a single rose blooming, the way a magnolia tree is like an umbrella, it goes. on and on. These walks home serve to clear my head and are a meditation for which I am grateful!
