So sad, my heart feels broken for the grief of this being. And we keep ourselves so separate from those we could share so much with, both sorrow and joy. The only option she saw, after expressing herself fully from her heart and body was to isolate. This is so like so much of our own society: expression is not heard or seen and so many are left in isolation. I love that Jane could see what the mother was expressing, it is so easy when we are open and curious. But I'm left with deep sadness that the mother was given no option but going away and blocking out the world, just like so many children are today.
