This is a wonderful and positive article. But it comes from a place of having the privilege to do many of the things you mention. It is a privileged few who are getting that new job at, hopefully the same rate of pay. It is a privilege to work for managers who are willing to allow themselves to matter less. All of the jobs, positions, examples, situations you have listed are realities for people who are living pretty privileged lives. They don't have the real external stressors that can get them killed because their lives are less meaningful to others.
Practicing irrelevancy is a wonderful concept, and idea, and a privilege everyone should have. What a much better world it would be. If people could let go of being in survival mode long enough to put these points into practice even a few times a week. Even when one doesn't have the privileges you speak about, those are still such wonderful ways to sooth the stress of not being valued by others as the amazing, unique, powerful human beings be are. Thanks for the wonderful tools. But I still must stay aware of the fact that to some, my life, and many others lives, doesn't matter. So I can speak up and be my own, and others advocate. Peace
