Thank you so much for this article. I'm 64 and am so grateful that I grew up without the technology that exists today. I read, listen, and think. I have never enjoyed the practice of multi-tasking. Yes, sometimes it is needed - but - it should be the exception, not the norm. Relationship building is on the slide because of reliance on computers and devices. I miss hearing a person's voice versus an e-mail (I'm a holdout with texting - incorrect spelling to save space annoys me). I hope your suggestions encourage parents and grandparents to teach kids (and themselves) that there is so much more to life than being a slave to their unit.
