Thank you so much Karen Y for this point of view. Sometimes I think the oneness movement allows those that victimize to get away with it.
Karen,
Thank you for this thoughtful and heartfelt comment. I can feel your compassion for all forms of life.
I understand and to a certain extent agree with everything you said here, but I would like to offer a different perspective. The best way I can put this is that Jesus would never have become Christ without the cross. In other words, we need the cross. Without the cross, we don't have resurrection. I think this is what Jesus was referring to when he said, "I am the resurrection and the life."
For me, Jesus set an example for all humans. Yes, there is injustice in the world. Yes, there is suffering and crucifixion. But our only response to these injustices is forgiveness ("Father forgive them for they know not what they do.") and acceptance ("Father into thy hands I commend my spirit.") My path is to be like Jesus--forgive and accept, even my "enemies" or the gross injustices that you mention.
Hope that clarifies what I was trying to express in the article.
Much love and respect,
Kozo

I thought this was a powerful article and would like to know more. I thought though of how "addicted" we are to social media, and how this could do us all some good. Also, wondered about mental illness as a whole, and if keeping people from feeling isolated would help stop the violence we are experiencing in our schools and workplaces?
