From my understanding does point 5 not contradict to the obove. What's said in point 5 I would understand like this sentence. "Since we can only create in the present moment and never in the past or future it doesn't matter if we worry about either of them. So we have indeed no control of the following moment that's why acting in the presence is the best we can do." But I would disagree with your comment since I think tit holds a contradiction in itself. When we have a free will and I agree on that, than we are never just the product of all our actions. I would say we are always more than just the sum of our actions because due to our free will we always hold the potential for almost anything to become. So this seed of future possibilities is always tgere. That's why you don't give up on someone who might have done only "bad" tthings and due to your worldview would be worthless. Instead from my understanding of these points one would always next to the past actions see tge potential and that's the most precious part that matters.
