Having sold my home & most of my possessions in 2005 to create/facilitate a volunteer literacy project, I've been living simply ever since and it has made all the difference in the world. Every item bought is seriously considered for its environmental impact, impact on self, community, etc. This includes food, clothing, furniture, books and "stuff." When we realize we never throw anything away and that every purchase makes an impact, wow. And yet it doesn't need to be complicated. Thank you for doing the challenge. I look forward to the stories.
