I'm happy to see this subject get so much attention, and it's great to see a doctor backing these ideas with research. What's frustrating is that I think most people inherently already know this. Kids need time and space to explore and play and learning will happen. The homeschool community has been pushing this message dating back to John Holt in the 1970s. Yet, somehow, as the interview and article state so well, our school system continues to ignore scientists, researchers, and even common sense when it comes to educating children.
