Wonderful analysis of procrastination as a defense against feelings of hurt and shame, and seeing the way out as simply looking for movement in a good direction. Procrastination not only helps us to self-isolate, but is also another brick in the wall against facing our feelings, and so it's ironic that the way out can include self-compassion, which seems to be key to a sense of trust centered within our own self, beyond our self-image, and not subject to the whims of our judgments. "If your compassion does not include yourself, then it is incomplete." Buddha
