Being alone does NOT = loneliness. While parts of this article acknowledge that, I still sense an underlying belief that they are equal. Some people, like me, prefer a lot of solitude. I get regular doses of connection with others, but our culture seems bent on viewing my lifestyle as "lonely" because I prefer the peace and quiet of enjoying solitary pursuits most of the time.
