Yes! As a Cause-focused Storyteller much of my life's work is building bridges between cultures & people highlighting potential & possibility through Story. When we empathetically listen to each other we realize we are so much more similar then different; we see the Human Being in front of us! Together we can create collaborations & solutions. I've been traveling in both the developing & developed world listening, collecting & sharing Stories from people from all walks of life artisans, educators, entrepreneurs, farmers, taxi drivers, students. Their Stories illustrate the amazing potential everywhere; a farming cooperative created in Kenya for widowed women now sustainsv66 families & their children have necessary fees to attend school. Now they are beginning to share microloans with other women in their community. In Ghana several 20 somethings created Idea Banking where they invite students to listen to young entrepreneurs share their stories & then discuss their own ideas, projects & solutions to issues in education, sanitation, technology & healthcare. One idea is chosen & seed money & resources shared! There are thousands of these stories! Thank you so much for sharing Maptia's Outrospection article! Let us listen to each other's Stories & feel our Empathy grow! PS. If anyone wants to see the Kenya or Ghana. Books let me know & I'll send the link. The Haiti book is in process.
