Thank you for an illuminating read. lots to ponder. I'm single, no kids and wonder what aging may look like if I need care as your Mother did. On the other side, I take care of my own Mom who has a significant anxiety disorder and last year broke her knee. I've been a caretaker of her my entire life, with breaks here and there, but know what is coming. I've tried many many times to have the conversation with her about what She envisions for her care should she become ever more incapacitated, sadly, she avoids that conversation at all costs. If you have any tips how to get her more comfortable with talking about it, I'd be grateful thank you!
