Not a valid reason to strip all flowers of their natural scent. We are destroying our planet and all pollinating insects for reasons that are ... without common sense. People have allergies because of all the foreign and toxic substances and ghastly fake "manmade" odors and scents that permeate our environment. We are our own worst enemy, not the flowers.

This story is insane. There's all kinds of horror stories about people who kill other people's children to get "adopted" and move into their house; into their place. What in the world are you proposing with this ridiculous story? The mother who lost her son didn't "change" the murderer. The murderer was in prison, removed from society and society was protected from a murderer for a too short prison term.
This story is crazy and anyone who would promote this kind of thinking is promoting murder in cold blood, over and over again. What is wrong with you for posting this? Surely there are better ways of handling grief over losing a loved one, and better deterrents to crimes of murder. To believe this story, you must have so little respect for the lives of others. It would be more appropriate to adopt a child that has no family and has committed no transgressions. There are more than enough children in this world who need a home with loving parents. Why not foster that kind of positive relationship?
I am not proposing hatred or non-forgiveness, but rewarding someone for taking a life, or your own child's life, is insane. This story proposes that murder is not a crime, but should become a way of life and should be accepted without question or judgment. I would not want to live in such a world, where anyone could kill anyone else and I would be expected to accept this and care for the murderer. This is taking "acceptance" too far.
Reading the rest of this post, I can agree with this next part. But I do not agree with rewarding a murderer. Love them from a distance. Do not enable or reward them in doing wrong.
Beautiful excerpt that I can agree with:
“Hatred never ceases by hatred, but by love alone is healed.” And he chanted it over and over again: Hatred never ceases by hatred, but by love alone is healed. Slowly the voices began to pick up and chant with him, and pretty soon 25,000 people were singing this and weeping because it had been 10 years since they had heard the Dharma, the Truth, the Way.
And what I saw is that he spoke a truth that was even bigger than their sufferings; even bigger than their sorrows. This is the ancient and eternal law."
