It says that you follow the natural food chain of your choice. Especially people who eat meat from humane sources. A lot of people see meat-consumption as natural as an animal in the wild would eat another, and any emotions from that are purely a sentimental notion.
Death and cruelty are two different things. I recommend documentaries on nature to remove the rose-colored glasses of the food chain.
(PS. Don't look down on people who eat meat, just like they shouldn't look down on you for choosing your plant-based diet.)
