I was fortunate to hear the eulogy of a circus performer. The gathering were taken through a wonderful life, marriage, children and so on. The moment that took this sad occasion into a spiritual celebration was when we were asked to acknowledge the passing of the coffin, not in mournful silence, but as she would have left the circus ring: to rapturous applause. Not a dry eye in the church, but all smiled through the tears as we clapped and clapped...
