I have a.d.d. which means I day dream slightly more often than the average person, however rather than being upset with these momentary lapses of concentration, this article has given me a new insight. When i "space out," sometimes I think about what I'm going to eat for lunch or what color shirt I should wear, but other times I do think of useful and important things. Rather than generalizing day dreaming as a bad thing, I can now appreciate that it does have benefits.
