My brother-in-law took care of my sister for 25 years as she battled a brain tumor while running his own business. He did it with love and laughter and brought fun and normalcy to their house. When I told him he was like a saint he looked at me and said, "That's what you do when you love someone." My sister never lost her sense of humor during the ups and downs of her long illness. She was in Hospice 7 years ago and then was discharged because she wasn't about to die right then. She kept the twinkle in her eye until the end. They're both gone now but they shared the model of what a loving couple looks like in real life.
