Hoping i don't offend: I am a 47 year old Hunter/Gatherer and we mostly view our elk hounds and huskies as 'tools'; to haul wood, pull sled, keep bears away, and hunt game. We treat them good enough and feed them well, but rarely develop deep emotional bonds to them. Doing so, would render them ineffective for certain tasks you see, and a hard living makes a long life for dog a real challenge. However, this telling moved my emotions deeply, and i am reminded to be so grateful and give thanks, to and for, our four legged friends for all they do for humanity. Thank you so kindly, for sharing this beautiful story.
