If history has taught us anything it should be that we cannot thrive with joy, retain diverse creative abilities nor expand our sense of the possible when we are overly controlled. Yet, hierarchical fabrications all attempt to do just that!. Think of all the turf wars in fields, academia, congress, nations, communities, business teams set to compete etc. War is violence, so duh.
I am not sure if this fear stems from ideas of "the other" or fear of the "authentic" self (wealth, power are ego reflective devices as in "i am who others believe i am"). Our culture's arrested development seems to stem from hand me down archaic and false beliefs. Yet they are hard to shake as those who benefit fail to see other possibilities while they benefit. and so engrossed in the tunnel many have forgotten the view from the heart.
Our economic systems, our ideas of race, class and gender all stem from this conquer, divide archaic thinking; thinking that intended to keep the power elite on top! (Notice education, leadership, understanding, curiosity are all controlled aka fit the agenda or be left out of the "herd." . This is why the tantrum (Moyers) in the White House and why global warming has oil speculators eying to exploit the Arctic. Being successful in this backward paradigm just looks crazee stupid. We really need to experiment with quantum ideas and leave the mechanistic Newton stuff behind. There is more to this thing called life. let's go there!
