I would like discussions about heroism to include groups which behave heroically. Much heroism in the world of women's liberation and advancement has happened because women acted in groups. I think that gender may play a part in how we perceive heroism - a single person or more - as well as what you say in terms of what is done, but it is also how it is done. So how do you support others to get involved and included - this means taking the time to support those who are less able or who have responsibilities. For example I might feel that I want to act heroically but if I have two children to look after I may need some childcare to enable this. Some groups consider this but many don't.
