I'm not a Catholic but I was raised under a very extreme religion and I too have generalized all Christians into the same boat of being hypocrites and judgmental jerks... BUT I was very wrong. It's easy to do trust me, but don't look at what the small percentage of outspoken extremists claiming to be Catholic/ Christians are doing/ saying or the way they act. They are not a real representation of what being a faithful Christian looks like. All religions, groups, political parties, movements have their extremist that blow everything way out of proportion and make the rest look the same way. I let go of that and started looking for the good in everyone and it brought me a lot of peace letting go of the hate towards the people that caused me harm and hurt me that called themselves "Christians". I encourage you to do the same. : )
