It does not matter if you believe that the sun will rise because your assistance is not required. What you are really believing is that the universe functions in a predictable and logical way. The sun is just a part of the reality that you perceive as fundamental. If someone told you they would use magic to keep the sun from rising then believing them would mean that you believe they have magical powers.. you have not changed anything about the sun. This is one of the ways that people are deceived by mystics and gurus.
You would have faith that you are alive and healthy when the sun rises. You would have hope that the stock market didn't crash. This may seem like just semantics, but language has power in the way we understand and use it.
