Every age longs for.the simpler past and bemoans the loss to humanity of simpler times. The trough is no time was simple, and humanity has survived changes by technology, philosophy, and environment a thousand times. Be happy in the present. If you mourn the past, it will kill the the moment. If you worry of the future, it will consume you. We only have this moment to decide who we are and what to do. Choose wisely with compassion and you will not choose poorly.
