Thank you for the reminder that We All have the capability to create these "milk moments". Be aware and be present; those Milk Moments will show themselves when eyes and hearts are open. For me Hugs are a huge part of Milk Moments; sharing heart with strangers. The Free Hugs movement has impacted me so hugely I cannot even describe it. and it has impacted thousands of others too, to reach out and share a Milk Moment (HUG) with someone else. Connection is Key.
CONNECT one to another; whether in physical or virtual Presence. One night at 3am someone going through a very difficult situation who felt she had no one to talk to in the wee hours of the morning, noticed I had clicked onto Facebook. I happened to be awake with insomnia; we chatted. She felt better. I felt better using that time helping someone else.
Helpothers.org shares countless beautiful tales of Milk Moments; a young woman at a laundromat took the time to sit with an old woman, just sit with her and listen. Others had ignored this old woman or shied away from her for months. That one moment, the young woman sitting with the older woman, grew to them sitting together every week for months. the old woman died, but before she did, she passed along a note to be delivered to the young woman, thanking her for her compassion and acceptance. Reach out, share a Milk Moment. I HUG you from here to wherever you are. HUUUUUG. <3, Kristin
