Thank you for this article. I, too, feel a sense of loss as certain phrases in my language disappear - they do so in direct relationship to simpler times in my experience. I can easily imagine what the loss of language must mean to an entire tribe/group of people tied to place, and imho, the world should indeed mourn the loss of this historical connection as there is ALWAYS something to learn from it.
