Interesting this - in my language (Yoruba) we would simply say 'pele', pronounced kpele, simply put means I feel your pain. Since coming to the west I have never being able to find a word that equates to that one word. Most recent immigrant Nigerians would simple say 'sorry' only to be met with 'it's not your fault so no need to say say sorry' or 'why are saying sorry'?!! So now I simply say 'kpele' to my non Nigerian friends and they know what I mean!
